Counter-Strike is a team-based shooting game where players control characters from two sides. One side is called Terrorists and the other team is called Counter-Terrorists. Both groups try to finish tasks like placing or stopping bombs. Sometimes they also protect hostages or try to free them. After each match, everyone gets rewards based on how well they did. Players receive in-game money to buy better guns for the next round. More money is given to players who win and succeed in missions. Defeating enemies also gives extra cash. Hurting your own teammates causes punishment.

About Counter Strike 1.6

Counter-Strike is a very fast and team-focused game that hasn't changed much over the years. In this game, two teams, named Counter-Terrorists and Terrorists, go against each other to win by finishing an objective or defeating the other team. Even though it's a simple idea, it's really seen as one of the most important online games ever created. The first version of the game only had multiplayer and didn't originally include bots, who are computer-controlled opponents or teammates. Over time though, people added bots through different changes and, later, they were officially included in the game.

There are many maps in the game that happen in different places, like cities, cold areas, jungles or deserts. After the game left the beta stage, the maps were still switched around in official versions, though less often. Since the release of Counter-Strike 1.6, this hasn't happened anymore. No maps have been added or removed in all that time. What's interesting is that most of the maps were created by people who started as hobbyists. When Valve Software bought the rights to the game, these creators got their work officially released for the first time.

Counter-Strike has a lot of weapons, from knives to guns like shotguns and submachine guns. At one point, grenade launchers, like the HK69, were in the game but were later taken out. The point of choosing weapons for the game was mostly based on two things. One, they had to be fun and cool. Two, they had to feel somewhat real and match the weapons that the teams might use in real life. The developers wanted people to enjoy using the weapons, so they focused more on that than on keeping everything realistic.

How to download and install

1. Make sure that you have uTorrent client installed on your PC (for magnet downloads).
2. Select the version and click on the Download button (press Open uTorrent button in pop-up window).
3. Locate the directory to save game files (e.g. C:\My Files\Games) and begin the downloading process.
4. After the downloading process is finished, search for ReadMe file if there is one and read the instructions.
5. Run the Setup file if there is one or mount the .iso file using Daemon Tools software or similar (keep in mind that you must have enough space on your PC to complete installation).
6. Copy all the files from Crack directory (if needed) to game directory where you have installed (e.g. C:\My Games\Counter Strike 1.6).
