I start FIFA - sorry, EA Sports FC - every year with high hopes. I wonder what’s new and if it's just the same game with some updates. Shiny marketing terms like Hypermotion V, FC IQ, and BallTouch grab attention, though some might be made up. Still, it feels like these changes stay on the surface. Minor tweaks add a bit of fun, but not a significant shift. Rush's exciting new mode gives a fresh twist but doesn’t hide the fact it’s still the same game. For long-time fans like me, the thrill is fading.

The newest part, Rush, is inspired by futsal and feels pretty fresh in FC 25. Though tagged as five-a-side, it focuses on four players with AI handling the goalie. It suits all core games in FC 25 - Kick Off, Ultimate Team, Career, and Clubs. It is perfect for those who don’t always gather a full team but still want action. Career Mode opens youth tournaments, letting you put young talents to the test in tough spots. It’s a quick, fun break from normal matches, adding a bit of variety to Career seasons.

Playing solo or with friends, Rush is relatively easy to get into. I spent a lot of time on it on the Ultimate Team, playing with one star and random teammates online. There’s no league to rise through, just Rush points to earn, yet it kept pulling me in.

Rush follows special rules that bring wild energy. Players race to the center at kick-off, similar to Rocket League. Games are brisk, just seven minutes; if tied, a short golden goal period follows. If still tied, a tense penalty shootout happens. The offside rule only kicks in near the goal, giving more room to maneuver. Red cards turn into blue ones, sending players off for a minute for bad fouls, though less if opponents score. Restrictions exist on players used (Max 79-rated, untradeable) but will probably change sometimes.

• Defense is now expected to be more realistic. EA Sports explains faster player swaps and better goalkeeper actions with updated mechanics. Meet the professional foul, letting you stop a strong opponent attack. But you always get a yellow card. Too many fouls could lead to a red card.
• Passing accuracy is now more authentic, mirroring the real game's challenges. Pass difficulty varies with pressure, angles, and situations. Passes reflect the player's personality, skills, and traits. This change brings realism and rewards smart passing choices.
• In wet weather, players might slip after strong passes. These animations happen in non-competitive rainy or snowy game modes. Note: it's purely visual and doesn't change pass results. New animations for sharp-angle passes also add variety and realism.
• Like passing, player skills and styles now impact shooting accuracy. Difficult attempts seem tougher, thanks to new shot animations. Shooting changes include off-balance follow-through. New off-balance animations add depth by considering the shot's angle and power.

How to download and install

1. Make sure that you have uTorrent client installed on your PC (for magnet downloads).
2. Select the version and click on the Download button (press Open uTorrent button in pop-up window).
3. Locate the directory to save game files (e.g. C:\My Files\Games) and begin the downloading process.
4. After the downloading process is finished, search for ReadMe file if there is one and read the instructions.
5. Run the Setup file if there is one or mount the .iso file using Daemon Tools software or similar (keep in mind that you must have enough space on your PC to complete installation).
